６月はじめに、中国の大工場の技術者と将来技術の質疑応答に対応した。通訳を介するだけにヤリトリは非常にもどかしい。
今回はメールではなく、直接対面であっただけにホンネの一部を垣間見ることできた。相当にレベルの高い工場を目指したいようだ。同じ年代であれば日本大企業なら技師か若手の主任技師クラスのところ、先方はワンランク上のポジションが一般的。まだ打ち合わせが始まったばかりでもあり、意思疎通の感覚を日本流にとらえては共感されないことだけは確かだ。日本型—じっくりと時間をかけて技術に磨きをかけていく 中国—-できあったものをどうすれば早く軌道に乗せられるか の大きな違いを感じる。
翌日は関連技術の大きな展示会を見て情報収集に励む。表面だけを見ないでほしいのだが。
